WinQBase

Evolving from previous file-based versions, latest WinQBase 4 employs server – client architecture with MySQL database system and additional server layer boosting security, performance and adding temporal database features for maximum database integrity control.

Available in English & Czech, other languages can be added on demand.

Laboratory database

Managing calibrations, inventory and customer data according to ISO17025 is the main purpose of WinQBase. Access permissions are based on users’ roles and all actions done by users can be recalled from history as needed.
WinQBase architecture consists of single self-hosted server machine with Windows system and MySQL database and multiple client computers that access the database over local network or through VPN. Client computers can run calibrations offline as well if necessary and upload the calibrations into database later online. Database can be automatically backed up using native MySQL tools.

Workflow management

Future development will focus on workflow optimizations, offering each user a view dedicated for their job and allowing laboratory managers to effectively allocate resources to each job order. Additional data items will help keep track of customer orders, associated tasks, billing and more.

Linkage to Caliber

Linkage to Caliber is another important feature of WinQbase. Fully automated as well as Caliber assisted calibrations can be run straight from WinQBase and the results get automatically recorded to your database. Furthermore, WinQBase stores Caliber procedures and instrument cards as well as calibration certificate templates in the SQL database for easy synchronization within organization. PC setup with printer and remote control interfaces (RS232, GPIB, USB or Ethernet) is recommended for use with Caliber.
